David Whitehair

Director, Metadata Services

David has been with OCLC for more than 30 years where he currently leads the Metadata Services product management team. His library career began when he was a freshman at The Ohio State University where he worked in the Thompson Library’s acquisitions department. He was seeking “just a part-time job” and didn’t dream that the experience would lead to such a passion for libraries and shift in career focus. David received a BS in education from Ohio State and an MLS from Kent State University.
