Hsueh-hua Chen

Hsueh-hua Chen ????? is Professor of Library and Information Science at the National Taiwan University (NTU) since 1988 and had served as Department Head of LIS from 1995 to 2001, Director of NTU Press from 2005 to 2008 and also President of the Library Association of the Republic of China (Taiwan) from 2010 to 2011. She had served as University Librarian of the NTU Library from 2008 to 2016.
She received the BA in Library Science from the National Taiwan University, M.Ed. in Educational Media & Librarianship and Ed.D. in Higher Education from the University of Georgia.
She is author of four books and more than 100 articles and technical reports covering digital libraries, metadata, information organization and knowledge management. She also serves on the editorial board of many library and information science related journals. She has been actively involved in the teaching and research on digital library. She was one of the Co-PI of the Digital Museum Project (1998–2001), funded by the National Science Council (NSC) in Taiwan, and has continued to receive research grants from the NSC for National Digital Archives Program (2002–2012) and many other research projects.
