John Chapman

Senior Product Manager, Metadata Services

John joined OCLC in 2008. As part of the Metadata Services team, he oversees cataloging applications and services, including Connexion and WorldShare Record Manager, and the WorldCat Metadata API. He also helps direct OCLC’s linked data strategy. Prior to working at OCLC, he was Metadata Librarian for the University of Minnesota. During his career in libraries, he has received honors and professional recognition for accomplishments in corporate librarianship, special collections digitization, and metadata standards development. When not working on solutions to problematic metadata workflows, he enjoys riding his bicycle, researching family history, and taking cross-country road trips.
