Hubert Krekels

Library Director, Wageningen University and Research

Hubert was born in the Netherlands and graduated from Tilburg University where he studied language and literature. Following graduation, he began his career at Wolters Kluwer Business Information in the Netherlands as a Project Manager for Electronic Publishing. In 1997, he moved to the medical imprint division of Wolters Kluwer, Bohn Stafleu van Lochum, where he was Publisher and Project Manager, Internet Services. In 1999, he became a Project Manager in the Internet services industry for Iconmedialab/Lostboys. Hubert has worked at Wageningen University Library since 2002 and became Library Director in 2013. He is an active member of the Dutch UKB consortium and the UKB licensing group. He served as Chair of the Research & Education group of the Dutch Library Association until 2013.
